Village Ice Cream (Victoria Park)

A delicious local ice-cream shop with not enough garbage bins.

Atmosphere: 5/5 – Modern, sleek & spacious. Decent amount of seating inside and outside.

Price: $$$/5 – Average for a premium ice cream store.

Customer Service: 4/5 – Employees were quick & polite. The line was long but moved quickly.

Location: 4/5 – Not the most ideal spot but close to Calgary tower, BMO centre.

Taste: 4/5 – Has a great balance between sweet and creamy.

Menu: 5/5 – Lots of both unique and classic flavours. Vegan & Gluten free friendly.

Sustainability: 1/5 – No sustainable initiatives, bins overflowing with used product.

Strengths – Sleek location with a large and tasty menu

Weaknesses – Pricey, no sustainable initiatives.

Good items to buy: Huckleberry, Two Hills Earl Grey

Summary: 3.8/5 - Overall, I would recommend stopping by Village ice-cream but if you aren’t going to get a waffle cone make sure to bring your own bowl & spoon. Village ice-cream has a large menu with many unique and delicious flavours. This location is hidden at the end of a cul-de-sac with a very modern aesthetic. Where Village is lacking most is in their sustainability. They would really benefit by offering more waste bins as well as compostable products (ie// napkins, spoon…).

Thank you for taking the time to read my review and I hope it helps you!! 😊
