A great game and an even better sequel.
Should you play? – Yes, it is a really fun game to play by yourself as well as with your friends.
Characters: 4/5 – The characters are well rounded and deep. They can also be pretty funny sometimes. I understand why the character you play as lacks a deep story but still I am not a huge fan of it.
Story: 4/5 – The story is good but short if you don’t do any side quests. The setting is good.
Gameplay: 5/5 – The gameplay is great. I prefer the PvE content to the PvP but both are very fun and engaging. The class options of warlock, hunter, or titan are well defined and enjoyable. I love the difference in gameplay you get from switching to a different subclass; It helps prevent the gameplay from getting stale in the long run.
Game World: 5/5 – The world is rich and ever changing. It is fun seeing other players run around and help you do quests.
Sound: 4/5 – The sounds are unique and impactful.
Visuals: 4/5 – The visuals are good but not the best. The cutscenes on the other hand are gorgeous.

Summary: 4.3/5 – Overall, I would recommend playing destiny 2. It is an improvement over the original. The gameplay is great. I prefer the PvE content to the PvP but both are very fun and engaging.
