An emotional and hilarious character driven story.
Should you play? – If you are a fan of telltales click and point gameplay or a fan of the borderlands universe then yes, this game is both hilarious and fun.
Characters: 5/5 - The characters are well rounded and deep. They also are quite hilarious.
Story: 5/5 – The story is awesome. The setting is great. There is a decent amount of connections to the main borderland’s games. It is also funny and emotional. I wish it was longer than five episodes.
Gameplay: 4/5 – The gameplay is mostly quick time. The choices you make have real and meaningful consequences. I wish that there were more objects to interact with during open movement scenes but c’est la vie.
Sound: 5/5 – The sound is impactful. The different intro song to each episode always gets me pumped to play.
Visuals: 4/5 – Telltales classic cell shaded look. It is definitely unique. I like how it makes it feel like you are playing a moving comic.
Strengths – Characters, Story, Sound
Weaknesses – Gameplay could be more engaging
Summary: 4.6/5 – Overall, I would recommend playing Tales from the Borderlands. It has an engaging and emotional story that will make you laugh and cry.
