A modern & tasty little croissant shop.
Atmosphere: 4/5 – Modern & clean. Well lit. limited seating. Nice Ikea plants.
Price: $$$/5 – Will cost more than a croissant from the grocery store (~$3.75 each).
Customer Service: 4/5 – Servers were polite. Service speed was average.
Location: 4/5 – Great spot with many great foodie spots nearby. Transit close by. Not a lot of parking options.
Taste: 4/5 – The croissants are delicious; the drinks are average, and the sandwiches are lackluster.
Menu: 4/5 – Menu is average size with many unique flavoured croissants. Don’t expect to leave satiated if you get a sandwich. Vegetarian friendly.
Sustainability: 2/5 – Couldn’t find info on ingredient sourcing. No advertised sustainable initiatives.
Strengths – Tasty, good location.
Weaknesses – No sustainable initiatives.
Good items to buy: Crème brulee croissant, Cinnamon swirl, S’mores croissant.
Summary: 3.7/5 - Overall, I would recommend stopping by Chocorrant. They have great tasting croissants but below average sandwiches. Their menu has many different kinds of tasty croissants to choose from. The area I think they could improve in is by using local Canadian ingredients & creating some sustainable initiatives.
Thank you for taking the time to read my review and I hope it helps you!! 😊
