La Boule Patisserie + Bakery

A superb, tasty patisserie that lacks in sustainability.

Atmosphere: 4/5 – Modern & sleek. Good amount of seating but not well spaced.

Price: $$$$/5 – On the higher side of average for bakery/patisserie.

Customer Service: 4/5 – Servers were polite. Service speed was on the quicker side of average.

Location: 4/5 – Just off Whyte is a great location. Not a lot of parking nearby. Transit close by.

Taste: 5/5 – I have had a lot of the menu items and they all are very good.

Menu: 4/5 – Menu is average size with lots of variety.

Sustainability: 2/5 – Couldn’t find info on ingredient sourcing. No advertised sustainable initiatives.

Strengths – Tasty.

Weaknesses – No sustainable initiatives.

Good items to buy: Sour Cherry Cheesecake, Chocolate Caramel Tart, Raspberry éclair.

Summary: 3.8/5 - Overall, I would definitely recommend stopping by La Boule. They have great tasting pastries and espresso. Their menu is average size, but I would like to see some more unique items/flavours to La Boule. I love their sour cherry cheesecake. The area I think they could improve the most by using local Canadian ingredients & creating some sustainable initiatives.

Thank you for taking the time to read my review and I hope it helps you!! 😊
